Charlene Joyce, a lifelong Floridian and community advocate guided by her deep faith and dedication to service, has officially entered the race for Florida State House District 54. With a steadfast belief in restoring traditional values and strengthening the voice of Pasco County families, Joyce’s campaign centers on faith, family, and freedom — the enduring principles that define Florida’s identity. Her announcement marks the beginning of a grassroots movement focused on integrity, accountability, and putting people before politics. Born in Cuba in 1959, Louis came to the United States with his parents and brothers in 1962 on the Freedom Flights, fleeing the oppression that overtook his homeland. From those humble beginnings in West Tampa, where he and his brothers worked as children selling produce on the streets, Louis built a life dedicated to hard work, family, faith, and service to others.
