FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tampa, FL – [Insert Date] – Angel Ramos, Republican candidate for Florida State House Representative, District 64, today announced he has signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge, committing to support an Article V convention to impose term limits on members of Congress.
By signing the pledge, Ramos vows that, if elected, he will cosponsor, vote for, and defend a resolution applying for an Article V Convention of the States for the sole purpose of enacting term limits on Congress.
“Public office should be about service, not a lifetime career,” said Angel Ramos. “Career politicians in Washington have become disconnected from the people they serve. I am proud to stand with U.S. Term Limits and the overwhelming majority of Americans who want real accountability and fresh leadership in Congress. As your State Representative, I will fight to make term limits on Congress a reality.”
U.S. Term Limits, the leading national nonpartisan organization advocating for congressional term limits, highlighted Ramos’ pledge as an important step toward securing applications from 34 states to trigger an Article V convention.
Polls consistently show strong bipartisan support for congressional term limits, with more than 87% of Americans in favor. Ramos believes term limits will help restore citizen legislators who are closer to the people and more responsive to their needs.
“District 64 deserves a representative who will fight tirelessly for limited government, individual liberty, and policies that put people first,” Ramos added. “My pledge to support congressional term limits is just one part of my promise to bring transparency, integrity, and real reform to Tallahassee and our Nation.”
This commitment aligns with Ramos’ broader platform of constitutional principles, government accountability, and putting the people of District 64 first.
